How to Check CHEERS (Drinks) Offers in Entertainer 2024

One of the best ways to check Entertainer merchants and offers before purchasing is to download the app for free first.

However, please note if you’re looking for alcohol-related offers (ie Cheers), the offers WILL NOT be visible UNTIL you pay for the product. I’m not sure why, perhaps the local advertising rules and because one has to ‘opt in’ to prove you’re over 21.

A Bit More About Cheers in Entertainer 2024

Cheers was/is a ‘microproduct’ from Entertainer, aimed at providing alcoholic Buy One Get One Free (BOGOF) offers. It used to be sold as a standalone product at a lower price point, but in recent years it’s now included in ‘main’ Entertainer products such as Entertainer Abu Dhabi 2024, Entertainer Dubai 2024 and Entertainer GCC 2024.

At time of writing, there are currently 236 merchants in Dubai and 61 in Abu Dhabi, or 297 across both products (if you went for Entertainer GCC 2024)

How to Find Cheers Offers in Entertainer 2024

(note: one has to have an active subscription, and ‘opt in’ for the alcholic offers, as mentioned previously)

If you hit the search box in-app, type 'Cheers', it will filter out the offer attributes and currently lists 297 merchants.

Note that on the merchant page, the products will be listed separately Dubai 2024 and Cheers Dubai 2024.

So taking The Chelsea Arms as an example, it will have 3 x Main Course BOGOF under Dubai 2024, and then 3 BOGOF 'drink' offers under Cheers.

(This is only a short sample, and some venues appear to be ‘placeholders’ so will have offers in future.)

Note - alcoholic drinks are often referred to as ‘hops’ and ‘grape’ locally.

When it says ‘drinks’, I’d always indicate it’s worth trying your hand with being a bit cheeky, as it does not specify brand or type of ‘drinks’. As always, “shy kids get no sweets” - it could be a winner if it’s cocktails or premium drinks for instance. 🍻

Hotel Deal: One&Only The Palm

If you’ve ever fancied staying at One&Only The Palm but was always put off by pricing, this could be your chance.

There are some super-low rates going between May and September, with nightly prices just over £300 almost constant. This is often block inventory pricing and may fluctuate as time goes on, but it looks like there is a lot of value to be had on the official One&Only Palm Jumeirah Offers page (link)

Remember though this is shoulder through to off-season in Dubai, but do shop around as there are plenty of different offers to get that price even better value (such Half Board included.)

I know of someone who got the free night offer & Half Board for around £262, so as always - shop around, but be quick!

Hotel Openings: Marriott Marquis Dubai

Not to be confused with JW Marriott Marquis Dubai in Business Bay, Marriott, the new Marriott Marquis Dubai is about to be announced as opening.

This is the official hotel page on Marriott, and it’s located at Jewel of the Creek, on the north bank of the Creek between the Al Makhtoum (D78) and (D74) Floating Bridges. The closest Metro station is Deira City Centre.

Emirates Launches Another ‘Fifth Freedom’ Flight

A Fifth Freedom flight is where a carrier based in one country is allowed to fly between two other destinations than its home airport/base.

Emirates have announced they will start flying to Bogota from 03 June 24, via Miami. So the Fifth Freedom flight is Emirates will fly Miami to Bogota, and that leg of the flight will be able to be purchased separately (ie no trip to Dubai needed).

From a European aspect, Emirates offers a few other Fifth Freedom flights which could be of interest:-

• Athens (ATH) to Newark (EWR)

• Milan (MXP) to New York (JFK)

• Barcelona (BCN) to Mexico City (MEX)

If you like the Emirates product, these Fifth Freedom routes can be interesting redemptions and cash rates, plus of course the lovely Emirates experience. It often can work out cheaper to take a ‘positioning’ flight ex-UK, and save heaps on things like APD, and also some routes are ‘cheaper per mile’ than others.

Emirates have announced their First Class Lounge at Concourse B, Dubai International (DXB) is currently being ‘transformed’.

Now You’ve No Excuse to Not Take That Abra Ride

Did you know marine transport in Dubai serves 17 million passengers a year?

Taking an abra across the Creek is an experience well worth trying, especially now RTA have just announced completion of upgrade works at Deira Old Souq Marine Transport Station.

Capacity has been increased and retail options added. Just as well the prices for the ride are so low - perhaps stump for a karak chai whilst you’re there?
